These models are made for the shooter who needs a precise sight picture of small and/or long-range targets, and are suitable for vermin and target shooting. They have a target style elevation knob allowing easy, precise adjustment, the 4-16x50 model also has a large side-mounted focus (parallax) turret.
The two higher-power models are supplied with the popular Mil-Dot reticle for precise aiming off or 'hold-over' as well as range estimation. The 2.5-10 and 3-12 power models have fixed parallax set at 200 metres.
Precision Hunter scopes provide smaller adjustment increments than the standard sporting models - 5mm movement at 100 metres per turret 'click' being the norm (slightly finer than quarter - MOA).
